THE PRIMARY GOAL
Cannonball is an opportunity for every person who calls Community their church home to go “all in” with Jesus— to take the next step in developing a wholehearted faith in Him!
ALL IN SURRENDER
What are we holding back from the Lord and need to relinquish control of in order to go “all in” for Him?
ALL IN FAITH
What step do we need to take that shows we are “all in” and moves us away from our comfort zone and into a whole new experience of dependence upon God?
ALL IN GENEROSITY
What new level of generosity do we need to reach in order to go “all in” as we express our gratitude for what Jesus has done for us?
THE SECONDARY GOAL
$17 MILLION OVER TWO YEARS
We have asked the Lord to show us what kind of impact He wants us to make over the next two years for His kingdom and His glory, and we believe He has identified the following three areas:
Our strategic operating budget for the next two years supporting everything we currently do now including missions and local outreach.
We seek to fund the construction of an exciting new building to provide expanded ministry areas for our children and youth. We will also expand the Auditorium seating capacity to reach more people with the hope that can only be found in Jesus.
We are asking God to open doors for greater influence in our community and around the world through new and expanded missions giving and greater participation in planting new churches.
2019 has been another fantastic year for Community!
- Over 170 baptisms have taken place so far this year – many of them on Decision Day and at our Beach Baptism in May.
- The At The Movies series was a huge success and we set record attendance for our Easter services.
- We had a record-setting KIDZ Camp with 1,599 kids and 392 volunteers over two weeks and enough money raised to build a home for a family in the Dominican Republic.
- Our High School Ministry took 163 to CIY MOVE in Tennessee and 11 students were baptized.
- Our Middle School Ministry took 121 students to camp at Lake Aurora Christian Camp and had 8 decisions for Jesus.
- In August, over 500 women attended the “Be Still and Know” kickoff event for a new season of Women’s Ministry.
We held the Groundbreaking Service for our exciting new building for children and students on Sunday, July 28.
Despite taking a while to get everything approved by the City and County, construction is now underway! The construction trailer and fencing are in place and you’ve undoubtedly seen signs of construction taking place. We expect completion of our exciting new building sometime in August 2020.
Your Cannonball contributions are already starting to make waves in other parts of Florida:
A $50,000special gift from Community was delivered by Pastor Scott to Greg Ingram, the Pastor of Miami Church, a church we have been supporting since their launch.
We committed $100,000 over the next 3 years to help launch Connection Point Church, a new church plant in Pensacola, Florida! Connection Point held their first service on Sunday, April 7.
In early August, a group of 24 from Community took our first-ever mission trip to work with Pastor Jose Rodriguez and Lifeline Christian Mission in their efforts to plant a church in Panama City, Panama. Pastor Jose is a very effective evangelist and church planter who over the past 14 years in El Salvador planted 11 churches and 72 house churches and saw 2,000 people accept Christ and be baptized!!
Pastor Jose has moved back to his home country to plant a church that will become a significant church in Panama City. Our team was able to help Pastor Jose run a Kids Camp for 500 kids from a local school and the community where the church will be planted. Pastor Jose now has hundreds of contacts that will become the core of the new church. Your Cannonball generosity allowed us to make a financial commitment of $100,000 to this church plant between now and the end of 2020 so we can start making huge waves in the country of Panama.
We recently started an exciting new partnership with Team Expansion, whose missionaries are baptizing thousands of people in areas around the world in which the name Jesus is not yet known. This includes supporting missionaries in the West African nation of Ghana, in China and Myanmar, and Cuba.
